MinErgy Initiatives is a non profit, local NGO registered under NGO Registration Act 2034, Nepal. A group of enthusiastic and dynamic professionals and practitioners joined hands together to establish and manage MinErgy Initiatives with being concerned of public health, children’s education, energy, environment and climate-induced disasters and adaptations. MinErgy Initiatives also inherits the competencies, skills, know-how and expertise of the Vertical Shaft Brick Kiln (VSBK) Project Nepal, which was implemented since 2003 till December 2012 with the financial support of Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) in Nepal. The organization has successfully completed various other projects related to renewable energy related to biomass energy, child education in brick kiln, water, sanitation and hygiene in different communities, brick kiln workers, water suppliers in various districts of the country. It has been also working for the rehabilitation of the earthquake affected communities by assessing the damages, supplying sanitation kits, water purifiers, food materials supporting to construction of temporary shelters and also providing health and sanitation awareness to different newly colonized communities after earthquake.
